Nosler has been making rifles nearly as long as it’s been making bullets (66 years to be exact). Let’s take a glance on their history.

Way back into 40s, John Nosler intended to create a bullet that performed reliably no matter what, and his intention was successfully achieved in 1946 . As he make and test hundreds of bullets every day, he came up making own rifles for bullet testing. Founded by Nosler, a company name Nosler Partition Bullet Company was born in 1948 at Oregon. The first commercial loader was introduced in 1963 and two years later the Zipedo bullet made history.

From Nosler Partition Bullet Company, the company’s name was changed to Nosler Bullets in 1969 and in 1984 they introduced the Ballistic Tip bullet. Then, in 1990 they have decided to change the company name again to Nosler INC. AccuBond bullet was introduced in 2003 and in 2005, the NoslerCustom Riffle brand was launched, and that was the first time they sale rifles to the public. Then, couple years later they released its Model 48 Sporter line which consist of two rifles- the Hunter and the Varmint. In 2009, they released the Ballistic Tip Lead Free bullet, and a year after they released a new Nosler rifle, the M48 Trophy Grade Rifle (TGR) which will cost you $1, 795.

Truly, the company has come full circle, making rifles that also offer an upgrade in terms of reliability and performance.

In terms of Nosler rifle line, Nosler comes in different types and kinds that are suitable for the most various hunting conditions. As of the moment, Nosler rifles include M48 Trophy Grade, M48 Legacy, M48 Varmint, M48 Sporter and the limited-edition Custom Rifle. The Trophy Grade packs a custom aluminum-bedded Bell and Carlson composite stock. The Legacy features a hand lapped PAC-NOR match-grade chrome moly, fully free-floated barrel. The Varmint has glass pillar-bedded Kevlar and carbon-fiber stock with Teflon overcoat. Ampng these, M48 Trophy Grade is the most recommended Nosler rifle for hunting purposes, and at the same time it is considered as the most economically priced Nosler rifle.

The good thing about buying Nosler rifle is that you can be assured that they are made of experience. As what Bob Nosler said, preseident and CEO of Nosler INC “While there are several very good rifles on the market today, the Nosler line is somewhat unique in that we use our rifles on every hunt—and we hunt a lot!. We have tested our rifles extensively in the heat of Africa, the cold of the Arctic, and just about every dirty, dusty or wet condition in between. If there is something that needs improvement, we expect to find it first and fix it.”
