Colt Rifle Reviews – Tactical Carbine

17 Apr

The Colt Tactical Carbine, formerly the AR-15A3 Tactical Carbine, is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO or .223 Rem. The carbine barrel is shorter than on a full rifle, and allows for easier handling when fighting in tight spaces. In that sense, Colt labels the Tactical Carbine as a weapon intended for law enforcement commonly used as a patrol rifle. However, the rifle is slightly heavier than the Law Enforcement Carbine, but the added weight helps off-set some of the loss of accuracy in the shorter barrel.

The Colt Tactical Carbine features a 16.1-inch heavy barrel. The rifle utilizes a four-position telescopic retractable buttstock that goes from 32 inches when retracted to 35.5 inches when extended. It has adjustable front and rear sights with a flat top rail for mounting optics. The guns has an effective range of 600 meters and a rifling twist of 1 in 9 inches. The rifle also features a removable carry handle, which adds up to a final weight of 7.3 pounds.

Colt is a famed American gun manufacturer founded in 1836. The company is best known for its revolvers and pistols, but also produces a variety of civilian and military gun designs used all over the world.

Colt Rifle Reviews – APC

17 Apr

The Colt Advanced Piston Carbine (APC) is a select-fire carbine chambered for .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO. Unlike Colt’s original M4-design, the APC uses a gas-piston operating system rather than a gas operating system even though they’re similar systems. The difference is in a piston system gas is directed on to a piston rather than gas directly onto the bolt. Though it isn’t new technology, Colt began releasing them into the market in 2012. Colt recommends Colt Advanced Piston Carbine for self-defense, law enforcement or military.

There are two APC models available. The LE6940P is the civilian model, meaning semi-auto only, and it comes with a 16.1-inch barrel, a Rogers Super stock and a 20-round magazine.

The second is the P0923, so capable of full-auto mode, and intended for law enforcement or military. It is equipped with a 14.5-inch barrel, an M4-buttstock and comes with a 30-round magazine.

Nosler Rifles Reviews at Guns.com

17 Apr

Nosler has been making rifles nearly as long as it’s been making bullets (66 years to be exact). Let’s take a glance on their history.

Way back into 40s, John Nosler intended to create a bullet that performed reliably no matter what, and his intention was successfully achieved in 1946 . As he make and test hundreds of bullets every day, he came up making own rifles for bullet testing. Founded by Nosler, a company name Nosler Partition Bullet Company was born in 1948 at Oregon. The first commercial loader was introduced in 1963 and two years later the Zipedo bullet made history.

From Nosler Partition Bullet Company, the company’s name was changed to Nosler Bullets in 1969 and in 1984 they introduced the Ballistic Tip bullet. Then, in 1990 they have decided to change the company name again to Nosler INC. AccuBond bullet was introduced in 2003 and in 2005, the NoslerCustom Riffle brand was launched, and that was the first time they sale rifles to the public. Then, couple years later they released its Model 48 Sporter line which consist of two rifles- the Hunter and the Varmint. In 2009, they released the Ballistic Tip Lead Free bullet, and a year after they released a new Nosler rifle, the M48 Trophy Grade Rifle (TGR) which will cost you $1, 795.

Truly, the company has come full circle, making rifles that also offer an upgrade in terms of reliability and performance.

In terms of Nosler rifle line, Nosler comes in different types and kinds that are suitable for the most various hunting conditions. As of the moment, Nosler rifles include M48 Trophy Grade, M48 Legacy, M48 Varmint, M48 Sporter and the limited-edition Custom Rifle. The Trophy Grade packs a custom aluminum-bedded Bell and Carlson composite stock. The Legacy features a hand lapped PAC-NOR match-grade chrome moly, fully free-floated barrel. The Varmint has glass pillar-bedded Kevlar and carbon-fiber stock with Teflon overcoat. Ampng these, M48 Trophy Grade is the most recommended Nosler rifle for hunting purposes, and at the same time it is considered as the most economically priced Nosler rifle.

The good thing about buying Nosler rifle is that you can be assured that they are made of experience. As what Bob Nosler said, preseident and CEO of Nosler INC “While there are several very good rifles on the market today, the Nosler line is somewhat unique in that we use our rifles on every hunt—and we hunt a lot!. We have tested our rifles extensively in the heat of Africa, the cold of the Arctic, and just about every dirty, dusty or wet condition in between. If there is something that needs improvement, we expect to find it first and fix it.”

You can also read reviews about the Nosler rifle, and you will definitely learn many great things about the weapon. Unquestionably, Nosler rifle is built with highest levels of accuracy and reliability, providing a lifetime’s worth of exceptional performance!

Among these the Mossberg 500 series is the most famous one which will only cost you $305.99.

Here are some of the shooter experiences from their Mossberg rifle:

The Mossberg rifles are what I would call a value rifle. You cant beat them for the price. I have a 100-ATR and its an excellent rifle. Can it get the same groupings as myRemington 700 SPS — No but I can hit any deer, coyote or any other critter with it just as well as the Remington. At 200 yards on a target paper the Mossberg 100-ATR doesnt group as well as the Remington but then again I’m not trying to get 1 inch groups in a target competition shoot. The Mossbergs a good deal. If your on a budget consider purchasing one. CONCERNING THE .22 rifle. I suggest a Ruger 10/22. The Ruger has legions of fans because of its quality and there’s a ton of aftermarket equipment for it if you wanted to make improvements. It’s a better gun. I don’t know much about the .17 HMR so can’t comment. MOSSBERG’s rifles are a nice value rifle that is a decent product. While Mossberg shotguns are superb!”

“I own 2 Mossberg rifles and prefer them above all others. I also have a Mossberg ATR in 30-06, great gun, accurate enough with good trigger. I recommend the Mossberg. Cheap doesn’t mean bad quality.”

“Mossberg makes quality, dependable, durable, reasonably priced Firearms. It’s not what you pay for something that matters, it’s what you get for what you pay.* Mossberg’s are A1.”

The shooting sports have been an American tradition for generations. Finding a dependable, durable, inexpensive rifle for your next dove hunting adventure is definitely possible with Mossberg Rifle!

“Shoot good but the trigger not really good”

“My son has one of their P-Cuda pistols which is a pistol version with a Carbon Fiber barrel and a swoopy pistol stock. Or one could say it kind of looks like a BlunderBust. I really like the scope mount being part of the action but as said above—their stock trigger is not what you’d expect for the money. But it shoots nice once you’ve got a good trigger”

“I bought this Magnum Research MagnumLite Rifle MLR22H for only $632 and felt very happy and satisfied with the performance. The Magnum Research riffle only weight 4.45 lbs. Handy and really a great choice!”
